On his official website, Jon Thorne on the 5th of January posted this :

"Finally, later in the year I am set to record on the debut album by Placebo's drummer Steve Hewitt - "Ancient B." This will feature Robert Smith of The Cure on vocals."


Jon Thorne was the third unofficial Member of the Mancunian Duet Lamb for a few years.

Steve Hewitt got onto it in an interview :

"I called Robert Smith to collaborate in a couple of songs, but mostly I've been working with Jon Thorne, from the band Lamb. He's a great friend from Manchester and we've been working in my house studio. The album is currently titled Ancient B and it's like drum&bass and dance, I'm expecting it'll be ready to be mixed by september."
